Fan Art. Devil May Cry (games), Kill Bill (films); Lady as The Bride
PART 1/3 OF A SERIES Part 2 - Trish [link] Part 3 - Dante [link] Part 1-3 wallpaper [link] Extra - Vergil&Nero [link] Full Group shot - [link] The story behind this whole idea is as usual a string of otherwise random things. Playing games, watching TV advertise movie marathons, looking up reference; it suddenly struck me that the unlock-able outfit for Lady in DMC3 (a white leather motorcycle outfit) just screams Kill Bill. In fact, Badass games and kickass films go well together maybe. And that is all there is to it. Shadows and colours kept simple on purpose. The bazooka was copied from reference by tracing the major lines and filling in rest as usual. Textures from own stash and cgtextures.com. Blood-splatter brushes are mainly the ever recognizable brushes by Smashmethod, plus a some minor additions of my own. Details: The patches on the jacket reads and/or depicts, from left side: DMC4's Devil May Cry logo text + Order Of The Sword logo, the DMC3/Dante's Awakening logo (bottom of jacket), a random black snake/Black Mamba, and the Immaculate Heart Of Mary. This took longer than expected but it was FUN yay ♥ Once again, PhotoShop choked a few times but hey, worth it Y/Y? HOPE YOU ENJOY! One down. Two to go! Also I have to fav this, the concept is awesome and the work is wonderful. It has nothing to do with me playing lady at a random RP on LJ or anything, but that does help to catch my attention more. Well worth the look!
