Artist's Comments

Onward with the random fanarts! Once again, it is X-men: Evolution and Lance Alvers/Avalanche, -now joined by Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat. And no, the choice of bad movie print on Lance's t-shirt is of no significance. It's just stupid. X3

Picture was--as usual--sketched on paper, inked digitally and coloured in PhotoShop.

The quote is of course from the Billy Joel song by the same name.

You've got to hang on to who you are, what you are. Don't let anyone take it from you.

Cute. Definitely cute. I love how it's in your own style and still obviously the characters. Also, I like the look on Kitty's face, it's a nice genuine smile and really brings out her character. Just out of curiousity, did you just randomly get into the fandom, or had you already been in and just fell over into the fanart pool?

It's from Billy Joel's "Only The Good Die Young", yes.

Such a fantastic piece! Excellent job with the colouring and the little details. Heh, I think his t-shirt rocks! :XD:

"GBH? Would that still count if I smashed a man's face into a hot stove, hold him down while he sizzles and crack him over the back with a barbed pole?"

Thank you. :) I've enjoyed the show since I first saw it (which, given my geographical location means slightly after it aired in the US) but, no, never been active in any 'fandom'. Recently watched it again and felt randomly inspried to draw. So i suppose it's somewhat towards your second suggestion.

I didn't watch the show that often but I always loved this pairing. There is something just right about them. A chemistry.
