The "Whoopie! we're all gonna die!" is taken from another song. Namely The Fish Cheer AKA The I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag, by Country Joe McDonald. Another song I can recommend. One with a fun tune and cynical lyrics.
