Last week was hectic. Lots of deadlines of different sorts. The uninteresting type of deadlines: last chance to make those calls, see those people and send in those papers; do this, do that, decide what about that and don't forget this -type of things. Lots of paper-shuffling. Unemployment is more (boring) work than you think. It is mildly stupidifying, to say the least.
To end an otherwise up-side-down week, I suffered a strange dizzy spell during the weekend. Very odd. Regardless if it was monthly hormones, lack of iron, or maybe a common cold sneaking up on me--or all of the above-- it had me disoriented and strange for quite a bit.
In summary I am left way behind on work and art. It is regrettable and I apologise. not much I can do about it besides trying to get back in the saddle, gear up and get to it, yes?
In contrast to the days previous (and Mondays in general), this Monday came with delightful surprises. It started much like before by taking up my time with time-consuming pains such as telephone queues from hell but it ended with goodies. Expecting visits from far-away friends in the near future I had been on the look-out to borrow some games for entertainment. DMC4, to be precise: for that fun sparkly kickass action. Alas, it looked grim. In the end, however, I ended up getting a ride home along with a borrowed Xbox360, DMC4 and GuitarHero3. Several days in advance than I originally had asked for.
Friends. Are. Awesome. ;.;/ ♥♥♥
Speaking of awesome friends, there is more. I am speechless at the kind and generous souls out there. =
